Morehouse-Cowles has opened a new sample test laboratory in Fullerton, CA, which offers companies ways to cut costs or improve their fluid processing equipment solutions. The new laboratory conducts sample testing on qualified products at no charge, using a broad range of testing equipment for milling, mixing, dissolving or high-shear fluid processing, according to the company.
The facility’s applications equipment includes a variety of fluid processing equipment including Zinger horizontal media mills, vertical small media mills, single-shaft high speed dissolvers and low speed agitators.
Gabriel Carroll, an application specialist who manages the new facility, said the laboratory helps verify the applicability of equipment for products, finds optimum solutions for fluid processing needs and conducts lab-size batch tests for seamless scale up. “Often the test results lead to product improvements, faster processing or production cost savings,” said Ms. Carroll.
